On Sunday, March 10th, Deacon Pam Korejwa was ordained to the priesthood by Presiding Bishop Anthony Nicholas Hash, OSB, with assistance from Bishop Carl Gregory Purvenas-Smith, OSB, and Father Seraphim Titus. The ordination took place in the presence of parishioners, family, and friends. During the same mass, she also took her vows as a novice in the Contemporary Benedictines of Peace.
Originally from Massachusetts, Mother Pam, as she is now known, holds a Doctorate in Education. She has been residing in Summerville, SC, for the past seven years and served as a Deacon at St. Bonaventure for five of those years. Reflecting on her ordination, Mother Pam expressed her amazment, stating, "She never dreamed this day would be possible!" She remains dedicated to her service at the parish educating children and eagerly awaits celebrating her first Easter Mass!
